Quality of Life
Our house contains a library with textbooks and soundproof doors, as well as a gym complete with a squat/bench rack, free weights, and machines.
The house also has one of 3 full size basketball courts in the Greek system at the University of Washington, and you can catch us playing pick-up, dodgeball, or dice games on it most days.
We don't use sleeping porches. Instead, brothers room in spacious singles and doubles they choose.
Psi Upsilon also boasts a private chef, Russel Hartwig (Twig), who has been with us for over 40 years, an industrial kitchen free for all brothers to use, and a daily breakfast bar.
Community
We have one of the most diverse brotherhoods in Greek Row, as well as one of the highest achieving ones. Brothers routinely win local and national accolades and can be found in all leadership positions across campus.
Our alumni network also allows for an easy transition into life post-college. Weekly meetings with alumni in different fields set our brothers up for future success in the job market.
Logistics
Room and Board are $3,600 per quarter, which is about $1,000 cheaper per quarter than the average UW Seattle Room and Board cost. Over a four-year term at UW, you would save $16,000 on rooming and food costs.
Our veteran chefs' costs are covered by the house bill, and it IS NOT necessary to purchase a UW meal plan if you live in.
Additionally, we are a flexible brotherhood. Modern students have academic and personal priorities. While brothers are always encouraged to come to events, they are not mandatory.
Academics
Psi Upsilon has one of the highest GPAs in the Greek System. Last quarter, the brothers averaged 3.6.
With a strong work hard, play hard ethic, the brothers understand that we are students first, fraternity gentlemen second. With 20+ majors represented, brothers and prospective members can look forward to academic and professional coaching from fellow brothers in the same fields.
